About the Role

We are looking for a Data Lead to join our Tallinn office as the first dedicated data hire in the company.

Currently, our data function is managed by our Tech Lead. As we scale, we need a dedicated specialist to take over this torch, offering you a unique level of autonomy. You will move beyond simple reporting to own the data landscape—supporting platform teams, hunting for patterns in financial data, and building the infrastructure that helps our Product, Marketing, and Country Managers make smarter decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the BI Landscape: Take full ownership of setting up, organizing, and maintaining our visualization tools (specifically Tableau). You will design dashboards that act as the single source of truth for the company.

• Deep-Dive Analysis & Data Mining: Run complex ad-hoc queries on PostgreSQL and Redshift. You will match partner data with internal records to identify anomalies, suspicious behavior, and patterns that could indicate business disruptions or fraud.

• Strategic Partnership: Act as a data consultant to internal stakeholders (Country Managers, Marketing, Product). You will provide statistical analysis that drives real business improvements.

• Scoring & Modeling: Develop and refine internal scoring models to rate customers and match them with partners effectively.

• Measure & Improve: Propose data-driven business improvements and rigorously measure the performance of those initiatives over time.

• Data Integrity: Ensure the verification and quality of data pipelines—you know that bad data leads to bad decisions.

What We Are Looking For

Requirements

• Education & Experience: 3+ years in a similar data role, preferably at an internet or mobile company, combined with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• BI Mastery & Process: Proven experience with Tableau (preferred) or similar top-tier BI tools. You are experienced in gathering business requirements, extracting data, formulating metrics, and building reports that are both beautiful and functional.

• Technical Fluency (SQL & Code): Strong knowledge of SQL, Data Modelling, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/Redshift). You are proficient in Python and/or R to write simplified algorithms and conduct statistical analysis.

• Entrepreneurial Mindset: You are a self-starter who can identify opportunities without waiting for instructions. You can quickly understand a new product or business model and set your own priorities—essential for being our first data hire.

• Project Management: You are highly organized with the ability to lead multiple projects within tight timelines and possess solid attention to detail.

• Communication: You bridge the gap between code and commerce. You are a very good communicator (verbal and written) who can explain data concepts to business stakeholders.

• Language: Fluency in English is required.

Nice to Haves

• FinTech DNA: Previous experience working in a Neobank, FinTech, or high-growth tech environment (e.g., Revolut, Wise, Bolt).

• Experience building or maintaining risk and scoring models.

• Previous experience working directly embedded within Product teams.
