Clar is looking for a passionate and driven Product Owner eager to take the next step in their career and join a dynamic and growing fintech. At Clar, we're building the digital infrastructure of tomorrow's credit economy, making it global, scalable, and transparent. We operate a proprietary credit platform that simplifies access to credit across four continents, connecting millions of consumers with over 300 financial institutions through a single, scalable platform. With 9 brands, Clar is active in over 20 countries and 11 markets, committed to building the financial rails for the next decade of global lending.

Clar has been experiencing rapid growth ever since the initial launch of the Loando brand. We're now looking to expand our Global Product team with a person who will work with ourour tech hubs in Tallinn, Estonia, and Spain, servicing our diverse brands and markets, and supporting our expansion into new territories. This is a fantastic opportunity in a rapidly growing space where you'll have the chance to explore new products and possibilities, including cutting-edge applications in the AI space for prototyping and implementation.

What will you do?

As a Product Owner at Clar, you'll play a crucial role in our global operations. You will:

• Manage the product backlog, defining and prioritizing tasks based on strategic direction from Tech Leads and business needs. You'll interact daily with our development teams in both Tallinn and Spain, creating clear user stories and ensuring all requirements are understood.

• Act as the voice of the customer for the development teams, translating user needs and business requirements into actionable development tasks.

• Ensure the overall functionality and quality of the platform from an execution perspective, coordinating with Tech Leads and development teams for managing and testing releases to ensure high-quality delivery.

• Monitor and improve current partner integrations and drive the execution of new financial partner launches.

• Interact extensively with stakeholders from different markets and brands across the globe, including Business Development, Marketing, and Customer Support, to gather and assess product development requests, translating them into detailed requirements and backlog items for the development teams.

• Monitor systems, conversion rates, and check for errors, interacting with partners and other stakeholders on reporting and following up on the fixing of these errors.

• Study and analyze data, user flows, and conversion rates to identify opportunities for platform improvements, using these insights to inform backlog prioritization.

• Test new ideas on users before bringing them to production and perform A/B tests on implemented features to validate impact, ensuring the delivered product meets user expectations.

• Collaborate directly with Tech Leads and management to contribute to the company’s product vision and strategy, providing insights from the execution perspective and ensuring development efforts align with strategic goals. You'll report locally to a Tech Lead, who maintains ultimate oversight of the platform's technical strategy and key architectural decisions, and is deeply involved in setting the product strategy and vision for the platform, participating in key product decisions. You'll also be part of the global product and tech team, reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO).

• Be involved in improving our data reporting tools and drive innovation through the use of AI and agents, in cooperation with the global tech team, focusing on how these can be implemented through the backlog.

• Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring the development teams are unblocked and focused.

• Present product insights, backlog status, and sprint outcomes to Tech Leads for strategic input, discussion, and joint decision-making on product direction.

• Is a quick learner, not afraid of challenges, and dedicated to working hard to meet ambitious business goals.

• Has excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats.

• Fluent communication in English is essential for this role, and Spanish is strongly preferred due to the significant number of stakeholders based in Spain.

• Has probably previously worked in a startup or fast-growing company in a product owner role (3-5 years of relevant work experience).

• Is detail-oriented and knows how to structure development work (e.g., writing user stories, creating roadmaps, structuring backlogs) and has strong experience working in agile environments, particularly Scrum.

• Has some basic programming skills and is able to understand the cost/benefits of different technical decisions, fostering effective collaboration with the engineering team (Plus).

• Experience with User Experience (UX) principles and practices is a plus.
